Weekly KPI dashboard from Shopify exports
A two-person candle brand's Shopify exports turned into one phone-friendly dashboard in two business days: revenue vs last week, margin, top products, ad return and a plain-English weekly sentence. No subscription tool. Example business, real work.

the new product copy is live, thank you. different problem: I have no idea how we're doing week to week. shopify has 40 reports and I look at none of them. my partner handles the markets and asks me every sunday "how was the week" and I say "fine I think."
I want one page: this week's revenue vs last week, margin (I know our cost per candle), what's selling, what we spent on ads, and whether the website is actually getting better since the copy went in. something she can open on her phone sunday night. I can export orders from shopify whenever. ad spend I can type in.
please no monthly subscription dashboard tool, we have enough of those.
Attached: orders_export.csv (Shopify orders export, trailing 12 months, 1,400-ish rows), a note with cost per unit for each product, a screenshot of the Meta ads manager spend by week.

Understood: one page, readable on a phone, that answers "how was the week": revenue this week vs last, margin from your cost per candle, what is selling, ad spend and what it returned, and whether the site converts better since the new copy. No subscription tool.
What we will send: a single dashboard file that reads your own Shopify export in the browser (nothing uploaded anywhere), a two-minute Sunday refresh routine, and the input files so any number can be checked.
What we need: the orders export, your cost per product, and the weekly ad spend.
Lands: two business days.

The result
Ninebark-Dashboard.html: a single 630 KB file with the data embedded that parses a Shopify orders export in the browser (drop a new file to refresh; nothing uploaded). Hero revenue with delta vs last week and vs 12-week average, an auto-written Sunday sentence, eight stat tiles with sparklines (orders, AOV, gross margin from a unit-cost sheet, units, new customers, Meta spend, return on ads by order source, conversion from a sessions export), 12-week revenue columns, conversion line with the copy-change marked, top products, order sources this week vs 12 weeks, a full table, and a 'how each number is computed' note. Plus How-To-Refresh.md, the four input CSVs (1,488 generated orders over 12 months), and desktop/phone screenshots.

Done. The file is below.
What it took
Built a single-file dashboard that reads the owner's own Shopify export in the browser (nothing uploaded anywhere), computes the eight numbers the partner actually asks about, draws them so a phone can read them, and writes the Sunday sentence automatically.
Usually next: The usual next request is a monthly version for the accountant, or a reorder alert when a best seller runs low.
All data is generated and marked so in the dashboard footer. The file picker works offline; dropping a new export recomputes everything client-side. Numbers that depend on a cost sheet or an ad-spend entry say so on the tile; the dashboard never shows a figure it could not trace to an input.
Two quick questions
- How long does a weekly kpi dashboard from shopify exports take?
- This one took 2 business days, counted from the moment we had what we needed. Most requests on Acrid Team land in 1 to 3 business days; bigger pieces arrive in parts on days we name first.
- Is my customer data safe?
- We work on a copy, in a workspace only this company can reach, and delete it after delivery. Nothing is used to train anything, and nothing leaves the job.
