Google Ads landing page

A Google Ads landing page for a plumber's $89 drain special, built in one business day in the site's look: one offer, tap-to-call in the first screen, form one tap away, conversion events wired, plus three matching search ads and the negatives. Example business, real work.

the new site is great. now the ads guy says we're wasting money because the ads go to the homepage. we spend about $3k/month on google ads for "drain cleaning" and "plumber near me" type searches. he wants one page just for the ads. the $89 drain special for first-time customers is the offer. needs the form and the phone number, and he says it needs "conversion tracking" which I don't understand. can it look like the new site so people don't think they clicked the wrong thing?

Regoogle ads page

Understood: one page for the $89 drain special that looks like the new site, with the phone number and the form in the first screen on a phone, and the conversion tracking your ads person asked for.

What we will send: the page as one file; a note that explains conversion tracking in plain words with the five things your ads person pastes in; and three search ads written to say what the page says, with the keyword list and the negatives that stop the budget going to 'plumber jobs'.

What we need: your ads person's email if you want the tracking notes handed over directly.

Lands: tomorrow.

Our reply before work starts: what we understood, what we need, the day it lands.

The result

Single-file landing page in the site's look: one offer, tap-to-call in the first screen on a phone, form one tap away with a thank-you state, UTM/gclid capture, GA4 + Google Ads conversion events wired with exactly five placeholders to paste. Plus ad-copy.md (3 responsive search ads matching the page, keywords with match types, negatives, extensions, first-two-weeks routine) and tracking-notes.md (conversion tracking in plain words, how to read it after two weeks).

What it took

Built a one-offer page that says the same thing as the ad that sent them, put the call button in the first screen on a phone and the form one tap away, wrote the ads to match the page, and wired the page so every call tap and form send is counted.

Usually next: After two weeks of data the usual next request is the second offer page (water heaters) or a thank-you page that books the appointment on the spot.

Tracking IDs are placeholders (`G-XXXXXXX`, `AW-XXXXXXX/label`); nothing fires until the ads person pastes real ones. The form posts to a placeholder endpoint. The $89 offer terms are the owner's; we wrote them out so the page and the ad say the same thing, which Google rewards.

Two quick questions

How long does a google ads landing page take?
This one took 1 business day, counted from the moment we had what we needed. Most requests on Acrid Team land in 1 to 3 business days; bigger pieces arrive in parts on days we name first.
Do I need to move my hosting?
No. Most of what we build is a page or a set of pages that drops onto the host you already have. If you want us to set up hosting, it goes in your name and you hold the login.
