Weekly animated skit series for an animal shelter
A weekly stick-figure skit series for an animal shelter made in two business days: series bible, three timed episode scripts, a seven-frame storyboard and caption files. Invented organization, real work.

Recan we do funny stick figure videos??
ok so our posts get nothing. we have about 1,100 followers on facebook and 600 on instagram and a normal post gets like 4 likes and one of them is my mom.
somebody on our board said short funny videos work. but we can't film. the staff is slammed, half the dogs won't hold still, and honestly I don't want to post the same sad-eyes-behind-bars photo every rescue posts.
could we do a little animated series, like stick figures, about what actually happens at a shelter? the stuff nobody knows. like the laundry. we do something like 40 loads a week and every new volunteer is shocked. or how shy cats pick YOU. or that we need paper towels way more than toys.
I want something we can post every week without it eating my whole friday. one of our volunteers is decent with canva. we're a small shelter, about 30 dog runs and 24 cat condos. keep it kind, no guilt-trip stuff, and nothing about euthanasia please.
Attached: Our current shelter wish list, a screenshot of the last month of Facebook posts, and a paragraph of 'things new volunteers always say' from the volunteer coordinator.

Recan we do funny stick figure videos??
Understood: a weekly stick-figure series about the real, unglamorous side of the shelter (laundry, shy cats, the wish list), kind and funny, no guilt and nothing about euthanasia, simple enough that one volunteer can build an episode in an afternoon without any filming.
What we will send: a series pack (PDF, plus editable files): a series bible with a recurring cast, tone rules and a fixed episode format; three episode scripts timed to the second with a true fact and one small ask in each; a frame-by-frame storyboard for episode one; caption files for all three episodes; and a list of six more episode ideas so you are not starting from zero in week four.
What we need: nothing to start. We used your 40 loads a week as the episode one fact; we will flag it and the drop-off details for your yes.
Lands: two business days.

The result
A 10-slide series pack: series title and cast of four recurring characters (each with a drawing and the one rule that keeps them consistent), tone and format rules, an overview of the first three episodes, a seven-frame storyboard for episode one with timecodes, sketches, spoken lines and on-screen text, a weekly production checklist, and six more episode ideas. Plus a Markdown file with all three timed scripts and post captions, and three SRT caption files ready to burn in.

What it took
Built every episode on the same skeleton (a joke in the first three seconds, a true fact at the two-thirds mark, one small ask, the same end tag) so a volunteer can make it from a template, and kept the animals as the smart ones in every scene so nothing reads as a guilt trip.
Usually next: The usual next request is scripts and storyboards for episodes four through nine, picked from the idea list, so a full season is ready before the first one posts.
Patchwork Paws Rescue is invented, and every name and number here (the 40 loads of laundry a week, the dog runs, the follower counts) is made up for it. Drop-off address, hours and links are left as placeholders in brackets.
Two quick questions
- How long does a weekly animated skit series for an animal shelter take?
- This one took 2 business days, counted from the moment we had what we needed. Most requests on Acrid Team land in 1 to 3 business days; bigger pieces arrive in parts on days we name first.
- How does the video allowance work?
- Footage generated from scratch by AI is the only thing that counts: three minutes a month on Founding, five on Standard, and $99 a minute beyond that. Video cut from your own clips, stock footage, screen recordings or motion graphics never counts, and most explainers and ads are made mostly from those.
