Season sponsorship deck for a youth baseball league
An eight-slide youth baseball sponsorship deck made in one business day: three sponsor levels, what each sponsor gets, an in-kind option and a say-yes page. Invented organization, real work.

Responsor ask - can we stop sending the word doc
hi. every winter we ask local businesses to sponsor the season and every winter i send the same word doc. it's four pages, mostly our mission statement, and the sponsor part is a paragraph at the end that says 'any amount helps.' the hardware store guy told me last year he never got past page one. i don't blame him.
we raised $7,400 from 19 sponsors last season, almost all small checks. this year we need $12,000: umps are $4,200, scholarships are $3,800 (40 kids at $95), new helmets and catcher's gear $2,500, field stuff like chalk and infield dirt $1,500.
what i want: a short deck, like 8 slides, with real sponsor levels. i'm thinking three. a business owner should look at it at the counter in two minutes and say yes. the hardware store is the one i have in my head. he doesn't care about our mission, he cares about whether people see his name and whether it's a hassle.
facts: 340 kids, 26 teams, 4 fields, 12 saturdays starting april 10. we figure 600ish parents and grandparents are at the fields on a saturday. jerseys get ordered late january so sponsors need to commit by jan 15. we're a 501c3. last year a couple places gave stuff instead of money (bags of infield conditioner, a pallet of mulch) and i never knew how to count that.
board president will look it over. thanks

Responsor ask - can we stop sending the word doc
Understood: an eight-slide deck that replaces the four-page letter, written for a store owner reading at the counter. Three named levels with a clear price and a plain list of what each sponsor gets, built to reach $12,000 for umpires, scholarships, gear and field upkeep, with a January 15 commit date so names make the jerseys. And a way to count donated goods.
What we will send: the eight-slide deck (PDF to print or show on a tablet, plus an editable copy), three levels priced at $350, $750 and $1,500 with the cost per Saturday shown, a slide that turns in-kind gifts into a level at retail value, the mix of sponsors it takes to hit $12,000, a paste-ready email to send with the deck, and a short script for walking into a store with it.
What we need: nothing to start. The level prices and the 600-adults estimate are yours to confirm; we mark them for the board president. Your league stays the one asking: you send it, you sign it.
Lands: one business day.

The result
An eight-slide 16:9 sponsorship deck: cover with the season in one line, where the $12,000 goes (four budget lines that add up), who sees a sponsor's name across 12 Saturdays, the three levels side by side (Dugout $350, Team $750, Field $1,500) with cost per Saturday, a what-you-get checklist by level, a pay-in-goods slide that counts donated supplies at retail value, the timeline from January 15 commit to the June thank-you, and a say-yes page. Plus a paste-ready email and a counter-visit script.

What it took
Cut the mission statement to one line and led with what a store owner weighs: who sees the name, what it costs per Saturday, and how little work it is for them. Priced the levels so a realistic mix (4 Field, 6 Team, 5 Dugout) clears $12,000, and gave the in-kind gifts last year's letter could not count a real place on the ladder.
Usually next: The usual next request is the sponsor banner and outfield sign layouts, sized for the print shop, once the logos come in after January 15.
Tall Pines Baseball is invented, and every name, number and date belongs to the invented league. The level prices, the 600-adults-per-Saturday estimate and the logo-file deadline are the league's own figures to confirm before sending.
Two quick questions
- How long does a season sponsorship deck for a youth baseball league take?
- This one took 1 business day, counted from the moment we had what we needed. Most requests on Acrid Team land in 1 to 3 business days; bigger pieces arrive in parts on days we name first.
- Can you work from numbers in my head?
- Yes. Send them as you have them: a napkin, a voice memo, a QuickBooks export. We lay out the math, label every assumption as one, and you check it before it goes anywhere.
