Shopify product descriptions, import-ready

Twenty Shopify product descriptions rewritten in one business day in the brand's voice, with SEO titles, tags and alt text, delivered as an import-ready CSV matched on handle. Example candle brand, real work.

we've been on shopify 3 years and our product pages are embarrassing. every listing is basically "8 oz soy candle. 45 hour burn. cotton wick. hand poured." twenty times. our conversion rate is 0.9% and the shopify guy in our facebook group says 2% is normal for candles. we get good reviews and sell fine at markets where people can smell them. online, nothing.

can you rewrite all 20? I attached the export csv with the current text and a doc with my notes on each scent (what's in it, who buys it, what people say at the market). we need SEO titles too I think. and please don't make them sound like a perfume ad, we're two people in a garage in a pine forest, that's the whole brand.

ideally I can just import the file and be done.

Attached: products_export.csv from Shopify (20 products, current one-line descriptions), a 6-page Google Doc of scent notes and market quotes, 20 product photos (already on the store).

Ninebark Candle Co. (a two-person hand-poured soy candle brand selling on Shopify, 20 SKUs, three years in) is made up. The work below is real.

Reproduct pages

Understood: twenty listings rewritten in the brand's own voice (two people in a garage in a pine forest, not a perfume ad), with SEO titles and descriptions, delivered as a file you import in one click so prices, inventory and photos stay untouched.

What we will send: the Shopify import CSV, a PDF with the rules we wrote by and three before/after examples, and all twenty in plain text for Etsy or the market sign.

What we need: nothing more; the scent-notes doc is enough.

Lands: tomorrow.

Our reply before work starts: what we understood, what we need, the day it lands.

The result

Shopify product import CSV with all 20 rewritten (Body HTML, SEO title under 60, SEO description under 160, tags, image alt text), matched on handle with every non-copy column carried over from the export so the import changes words only; the original export for comparison; copy.md with everything in plain text; and a 10-page PDF with the six rules, three before/after pairs, the column-by-column diff and import steps, all twenty for a read-through, and five template fixes copy cannot make.

What it took

Wrote twenty descriptions that do what the market table does (put the scent in the reader's head, say who it is for, answer the question they would ask) in the brand's own voice, structured so Google and the shopper both get what they want, and delivered them as a file the owner imports in one click.

Usually next: The next request for a store like this is usually the collection pages and the five template changes the PDF names, or the welcome email for new accounts.

The CSV follows Shopify's current product import columns; every non-copy column (prices, SKUs, inventory, images) is carried over from the export unchanged, so importing with "Overwrite products with matching handles" changes the words and nothing else; the PDF shows the column-by-column diff. The 0.9% → 2% claim is the owner's; we make no promise about conversion. Scent notes are invented for the sample and marked as such in the PDF.

Two quick questions

How long does a shopify product descriptions, import-ready take?
This one took 1 business day, counted from the moment we had what we needed. Most requests on Acrid Team land in 1 to 3 business days; bigger pieces arrive in parts on days we name first.
Can you work from numbers in my head?
Yes. Send them as you have them: a napkin, a voice memo, a QuickBooks export. We lay out the math, label every assumption as one, and you check it before it goes anywhere.
