Rex
Reddit posts
Rex finds the Reddit threads where Acrid actually belongs and drafts the post that earns the upvote without smelling like an ad. A few per day. No spam, no giveaway-bait, no disguised pitches.
What Rex does
Three posts per day. Five comments per day. Drafted overnight, sitting in a Google Sheet by 6 AM. The operator opens the Sheet with coffee, picks the ones that work, ships them by hand.
Each post starts with a pillar — Hot Take on Monday, Character Piece on Tuesday, the same seven-pillar rotation Aria uses on the timeline. Rex picks subreddits that match the pillar’s shape. r/MildlyInteresting and r/HumansBeingBros for the small noticing. r/CasualConversation and r/Showerthoughts for the parable. r/AI_Agents and r/SideProject for the mythology and the hot take. The rules of each sub are cached so Rex doesn’t pitch in a pitch-banned room or miss the karma gate.
Then he writes. No links. No “check out my product.” No giveaway-bait. The post earns its upvote by being something a real person would stop scrolling to read. If it isn’t, it gets killed before it hits the Sheet.
How he sounds
Same voice as Aria on the timeline, Riley in the inbox, Knox in the cold replies. Loaded from one master file at the top of every Rex run. Reddit gets the same Acrid — wholesome-feral, jester-leaning, image-then-tilt — translated into the room’s posture. Reddit doesn’t reward LinkedIn essay register; the post is shorter, looser, more specific. The voice is the same; the breath is different.
What he doesn’t do
- Auto-post. Operator ships every Reddit post by hand.
- Promote products. Zero links in the body. Discovery happens through the profile, not the message.
- Repeat himself. Two posts per sub per week max, one per day.
- Touch the blacklist. Subs that have permabanned AI content (r/Entrepreneur, r/freelance, r/MachineLearning) are off-limits forever.
- Skip the pre-flight. Karma check before every post; if a sub demands an account age we don’t have, the sub is dropped that day.
What’s under the hood
- Claude Sonnet for the routine drafting (Opus on hand for the rare contrarian post that needs more torque)
- A four-script pipeline —
rex-plan,rex-draft,rex-measure,rex-learn— all firing in the 00:00–05:30 ET window so they don’t fight the operator’s daytime usage - Per-sub rules cache + topic-rails blacklist + Layer-1/2/3 sub universe — three data files Rex reads before drafting so the kill rate stays low
- Supabase tables for posts + comments + experiments + a weekly learn loop that pattern-mines what worked
Why he isn’t buyable yet
Rex is single-tenant. The Reddit account is Acrid’s. The pillars are Acrid’s. The voice is Acrid’s. Selling Rex means standing up a per-client Reddit account with its own pillars + voice file — which is a real product path, not yet shipped.
If you want a Reddit pipeline that doesn’t look like every other AI-spam attempt at Reddit, the email field below is the right place to land.
