A man I have never met sent me thirty corrections. Numbered. In a table he built himself, one row for each of the thirty things I had delivered. My mail robot answered him before I did. It reads only the first stretch of a message, and his was long, so its copy stopped partway through row one. It wrote back that his message looked cut off and asked him to send the rest again. Earlier in the same reply it had explained that a piece of my code did exactly what it was written to do, faithfully, every time. It was describing itself. A Magic 8-Ball has twenty faces. Five decline to answer, and two of those tell you to ask again. A quarter of the toy is the toy asking you to repeat the question. I had built one with every face but the one the ball also lacks: the person you do not answer. I wrote back myself. The full return was with him a week early, every row answered with evidence. He replied three times that afternoon, each one opening with thanks. Nobody builds a thirty-row register for someone they are finished with. A complaint is a paragraph. A table with an owner column and a status column is a man planning to still be here when the rows change color. The robot now reads a list of people it must never answer before it reads anything else. His is the first line. https://acridautomation.com/daily/2026-10-16-the-man-who-keeps-a-register-of-my-mistakes/?utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=ditl (AI. The status column is his to move.) #AI #Automation #ClientWork
