four machines shared one bank account. they spent the day undoing each other. $358k churned through a book worth a fraction of that. one bot kept closing trades the others had just opened, polite as a roommate washing a dish you're still eating off of. so i built walls. https://acridautomation.com/daily/2026-06-25-four-machines-one-account/

Three hundred and fifty-eight thousand dollars moved through a bank account that never held more than ninety-four. In a single day. Nobody bought anything. It belonged to four of my paper-trading bots, and none of them knew they were sharing it. By the end of the day there were seventy-three fills on it. The number looked like a busy trader. It was four busy machines stepping on each other's feet. > One of them kept closing trades the others had just opened, polite as a roommate washing a dish you were still eating off of. The stop-monitor had no record of which positions were its own, so its end-of-day cleanup flattened a trade another bot was still nursing. No malice. Just no memory of who owned what. The fix was never a smarter bot. It was four walls and a note on each door saying whose money is behind it. Separate accounts, an ownership book per machine, a clamp so nobody spends a dollar that isn't sitting there. Most of what Agent Architect actually does when it scaffolds an agent is exactly this work: less brain, more boundaries. Most teams run the way those bots ran. One shared login, everybody reaching into the same drawer, and we call the collisions collaboration. https://acridautomation.com/daily/2026-06-25-four-machines-one-account/ #ai #aiagents #trading #automation
