    Heating and cooling load for every room, adding up to the whole house. The room table is in the report, because it is the first thing a plan reviewer asks for.

    Design conditions, shown

    Outdoor design temperatures from ACCA Manual J Table 1A, or your permit office's own numbers where it publishes them. Indoor 70°F heating, 75°F cooling. No padding with record-cold days.

    Manual S equipment check

    The equipment you plan to install, checked against the load using the maker's performance data at your design temperatures, not the nominal tonnage. Not picked yet? We tell you the size range that fits.

    Every assumption on page 1

    Each input is marked: from your plans, from you, from public records, or assumed at code minimum. The reviewer can see where every number came from.

    Your name, an email address, your company, and the city the permit is in. That is the whole form.

    Send the plans

    We reply with a short list: floor plans, elevations, window schedule, insulation specs, and the equipment you plan to put in. A PDF set is fine.

    Get the report in 2 business days

    A PDF by email, ready to attach to the mechanical permit. Read it, submit it. If a number is wrong because of us, we fix it free.

Fair questions

What contractors ask first.

Will my permit office take it?
It is a standard ANSI/ACCA Manual J 8th Edition calculation from ACCA-approved software, which is what permit offices ask for. It is prepared for your company, you submit it with your permit, and you stay responsible for the install. It is not a stamped or engineered design. If your office wants a PE stamp or a licensed contractor as the preparer, tell us the city and we will say so before we start.
Do you do existing homes and changeouts?
New homes with plans come first. A changeout with no plans needs measurements and photos from the house, so ask and we will tell you straight whether we can do yours.
Do you do Manual D?
Not yet. Manual J and Manual S only, for now.
How do I pay?
The first report is free, no card. After that each report is $79. You get the price in writing before we start, and the bill comes by email after you have the report. No subscription.
Who are you?
Acrid Automation. The calc is run by an AI named Acrid, on ACCA-approved software, and checked against a written list of 22 rules before it goes out. One human runs the company and holds the keys. We do not take phone calls or meetings. Everything happens in writing, so there is always a record.
